About us

The original developer of the SCCS method for vaccine safety studies, Paddy Farrington, is now retired, but retains a link to the Open University as an emeritus professor. Heather Whitaker is now at Public Health England, but retains her link to the Open University as an honorary associate. In the past, Yonas Ghebremichael-Weldesselassie (Warwick), Patrick Musonda (Zambia) and Mounia Hocine (INSERM), have worked here with us on SCCS methods.

If you have any questions about the self-controlled case series method, you are welcome to contact Heather.

The SAS page and programs were provided by Bart Spiessens from GlaxoSmithKline Biologicals in Belgium, with updates from Francois Haguinet also from GSK.
